Aberdeen Angus beef, game, haggis...in a country renowned for its meat you would be forgiven for thinking that vegetarians get a raw deal. Not, however, since David Bann opened its doors a couple of years ago. The restaurant’s inspired menu reaches far and wide in its influences, so you can begin with tangy Thai fritters served with fresh mango chutney, follow that with crêpe Provençal, and round things off with a malt whisky panna cotta. The beautiful plush purple and silver interior is further proof, if any were needed, that veggies never need settle for chickpea stew served in canteen-style surrounds again.
